"Of all the legends I’ve illustrated, John Lennon is without doubt my personal number one. I’m something of a Beatles fanatic and it was very hard deciding which John to draw. In the end I settled on the double-denim delights of 1968 - complete with Epiphone Casino - which you may recognise from the 1968 Rolling Stones Rock & Roll Circus. Beside him is the opening line from Revolution. Originally the b-side to Hey Jude, it’s a classic track in its own right, with lyrics soaked in his distinctive brand of togetherness and wisdom."
